LDAP auth to different tree

Hopefully a quick one for someone as I cant seem to find any info on
this. We have two trees synched via IDM that contain the same users and
passwords.

Is it possible to have users authenticate to the second tree which has
no GroupWise schema extensions at all or does the LDAP authentication
need to point to the tree that contains GroupWise?

You'll probably have to add the LDAP user object name in the 2nd tree to each user's Groupwise properties (user object, Groupwise tab, Account "LDAP authentication".

Why don't you want to use the GW tree for authentication?
