Problems with Exchange Gateway 7.0.1

The gateway passes email traffic both ways no problem. It also syncs
the address books both directions again without problems.

Busy search does not work either direction. From Groupwise 6.5 I am
busy search someone from the address book who has an email on the
Exchange side, and I can see this go though the gateway and in diag
logging I see these:

"Could not get timezone of the Exchange User"
"No Freebusy information found for the Exchange user"

Then the busy search returns complete all within a second.

If I busy search from Outlook to a address book user on the GW side,
nothing ever hits the gateway.

I have been over the install doc many times, even had another engineer
review the docs and everything look fine.

We have a single Exchange 2003 server called EX1 a second Exchange
2003 server called EX2. EX2 has the gateway and Novell clients
installed. EX1 hosts the mailboxes.

I have replicated the public folder store free busy+ from EX1 to EX2
but that still did not do any good.

Do you see any of those entries in the Gateway logs?

02-09-07 17:09:59 0 Processing incoming Free/Busy request
02-09-07 17:10:25 1 Returning Free/Busy status

I am having the same issue - pardon me for butting in, but Jamie Lin, do
you have sync working correctly? I have posted another thread on the same
issue, but have not seen a response.

I see activity on the gateway with GroupWise to Exchange free busy
requests, but do not see activity in the gateway logs from Exchange to
GroupWise. Also, for GroupWise to Exchange free busy requests, the gateway
passes the information to Exchange, but I see errors in the Application
Logs on my Exchange server that basically say that it cannot relay the info
back to GroupWise.

Any help from anyone needed very badly and greatly appreciated...

Hi Ryan,
Have you managed to resolve a Timezone issue? I've got the same issue
with Gateway 7.02 and is very interested to know the outcome of your
case?
