How to delete a server?

One of my server boxes went down after 10 years, so I bought another
box, and am attempting to install another server with a different name.
Two problems: 1) I cannot delete the original server object in
ConsoleOne b/c it says it is up. How do i bring it down since it's
gone? 2) the new server object has been created by the install routine
and I can see its properties in ConsoleOne, but the installation routine
has been installing eDirectory for over 12 hours. What's up?
