Have a problem with one of my users who is unable to load his GroupWise
client. The client begins to load after the password screen and then
shuts down without any errors.
On checking the POA when he attempts to login in, there are no errors -
just the normal message that is displayed when I user logs in from the
standard client.
The user can, however, login using WebMail and the Java client for MAC.
The only thing of note is that within the WebMail view, the mailbox
folder is offset from the other main folders (Sent, Trash, Calendar
etc) and the Java client does not show the mailbox folder at all.
I have ran a standalone GWCheck (with the user logged out) for
Structure and Contents without any effect.
Anyone know how to recover the mailbox folder?
Thanks
Analyse/Fix database
Select Contents and FIX only, and in the Misc Tab, type FOLDERRESET

Be a GroupWiseR, go http://www.groupwiser.net
I think you'll just need to move the folder back in place within Webaccess

But as Dave points out, if you can get access from WebAcc, then move
the folder back from there.

Hi Tommy
Thanks for the suggestion but this didn't resolve the problem.
It managed to moved the MAILBOX folder so that it was located under the
SENT ITEMS. The client still crashes when I try to open it for this
user.
I will run it again and see what happens.
Any other suggestions - Structural Rebuild/Recreate user DB?
Thanks

Hi Dave
Thanks for the suggestion but I cannot see a way of moving the folder
to it's correct location within WebAccess.
The MAILBOX folder does indeed exist, it's just that it is located
under the SENT ITEMS folder.
Thanks

Try this:
Run a normal contents check on the Post Office
In ConsoleOne select the users that you want to run the check on
Select Tools | GroupWise Utilities | Mailbox/Library Maintenance
Select Contents and Fix problems.
On the Databases tab deselect Message
On the Misc tab enter DelDupFolders in the Support Options field
Select Run.
Keep running job until all the folders have been deleted.

Install that client, and move the folder back to where it belongs. 5.2
isn't as fussy as the later clients and will let you do this
I seem to recall, that GW6.5.2 GWCheck was broken with the
DelDupFolders option.
Try and download GW6.5.5 SP, extract it to your Harddrive, and run
gwcheck from there
