Add the other server to the same tree, place the replicas

ndsconfig/ndsmanage for adding the server to the tree

...for adding the replicas you only have GUI tools.

To add to Akos' reply, build your other server, install eDir 8.8. If
your current server is the only server eDirectory will automatically
put a replica of all partitions on the new server. Then export the self
signed cert of the CA including the private key. Remove the CA and
recreate it using the exported key. Assign it to the new server.

Promote all your replicas to master on the new server. Remove the RW
replicas afterwards from the old server.

Remove old server from the tree.
