Hello,

sometimes our eDirectory Server gives this error at ldapsearches.

The ndstrace log at this issue looks like this:

[2008/12/03 16:14:12.700] Connection 0x1a03708 closed

The server has eDirectory 8.8 SP2 with FTF2 installed.

What can I do that this errors don't appear?

Thanks in advance,
Juergen Schulz

Hi Juergen,

What I found weird is that you say you get this only
sometimes...otherwise I would say you have an LDAP Bindrestriction
enabled on the LDAP Server object which disallows anonymous binds?!

Cheers, Akos

Hi Akos,

I checked LDAP Bindrestriction. it is not enabled.

And it really happens sometimes. Not at every search.

Best regards
Juergen

You don't happen to have put restrictions on [Public], such as taking away
its Browse rights to the tree, do you?
