That message is just telling you that ndsd crashed, producing a core file
(memory dump), and didn't get shut down cleanly. It *should* start anyway.

Is it not starting for you?

No, this is not normal. But you haven't really given us much to work with
to help you here. Is this a new problem?

For OES/Linux problems, you might be better off asking in the OES support
forums. Here in edirectory.unix, the questions are normally about the
Unix versions (Solaris, HPUX, AIX, etc.) of eDirectory.
