NW 6.5 Migration

Hi there,

I've to upgrade the HW of 8 servers on my tree (not the master, they
have only r/w replicas), they're all running NW 6.5 SP2, and
eDirectory version 8.7.3.10

I started two days ago, I've installed a pre-migration server with
NW65SP8 Overlay CD, and it comes with eDirectory 8.8 SP4.

Reading several documents about the migration process with SCMT
(Server Consolidation and Migration Tool 8.2), everyone recommend to
not upgrade from eD 8.7.3.10 to 8.8.x, so I've downloaded eDir 8.8.5
from Novell's website and installed it on both servers (in the pre
migration server with temporary name and temporary tree, and in the
one that have to be replaced, it's placed on a ou from my tree), the
problem is that my master's server, is NW6.5SP8 and has eDir 8.7.3.10,
as we had some OES servers on other contexts and 2 NW65SP8 with eDir
8.8.2, I've suposed that everything woukd be fine whith the migration
and instalation of eDir 8.8.5 in the server that we have to upgrade.

After the upgrade to 8.8.5 on that server, our NDS stop validating ALL
users on our tree, I've had to restart our Master server to solve it.

The problem is that now I've to make the migration, with the SCMT 8.2
and don't know if that will impact on our NDS, maybe you have a
recommendation, maybe upgrade our Main server to eDir 8.8.5?, Anyone
of you have done it yet?, any trouble with NDS?
