That check in the script does not care about the contents yet and appears
to be failing just checking for the DIB directory. As the directory is
mentioned please run the following command and post the output:
stat /var/opt/novell/eDirectory/data/dib
Also please post the contents of the relevant nds.conf file
(/etc/opt/novell/eDirectory/conf/nds.conf). Finally it may be useful to
know a little more about your system:
cat /etc/SuSE-release
df -h
free
