Our current 2 Directories are not yet Nsure'd
Our mail server (iPlanet) calendar server (iplanet) currently use LDAP
authentication to the iPlanet LDAP Server.

Is there any reason why these authentication methods couldn't be pointed
to the Netware LDAP server for authentication only and utilize the
iPlanet Directory server for all other objects and attributes defined in
the Mail and Calendar applications?

Of course DirXML can throw the password back and forth with the LDAP
connector but I was just curious if anyone was using any other mechanism
to perform what I am attempting to describe.

There is no reason I can think of if iplanet allows you to do this.

Any iPlanet people out there who can confirm this. Our goal is to
simply have our mail clients and calendar clients and really anything
that would authenticate to iPlanet be authenticated by eDir. After
authentication both mail and calendaring would use the iPlanet Directory
server for any objects and/or attributes they required.

Thanks
