I have yet to use filtered replicas, but am considering them for ldap
authentication. The reason is we have about 100,000 accounts and servers
that hold all replicas sometimes get rather busy with syncs(especially last
login time, etc). I am considering creating a couple of boxes with RO
filtered replicas which only have CN,public/private key for authentication.
So theoretically these servers should experience much less utilization since
the primary cause of syncs---last login time--is not being updated. True?
False? How reliable are filtered replicas? I had heard in the past there
were issues with obits. We are running edir 862/871/873. Thanks!
