Account lock + password change

Hi,
I have a strange issue since a few weeks...
When the system (NW 5.1) ask users to change their password, the password
expiration date gets back to 1992. Then the user can't change his password!
And after a while, it gets lock (when the grace login is reached!)
Does anyone have an idea?
My configuration is :
- 2 NW 5.1 servers
- SP 5
- Dir XML 1.1a
- client 4.83 SP1 ont the workstations

first thing to do is check the password expiration interval and make
sure it's va lid number, like 30 or 60 or 90 or whatever and not a
garbage number or negative.
Then, do a health check per
