password sync & dirxml 2

just a question about sth i haven't found that clear
in the dirxml 2 admin guide:

is it possible to have universal password enabled
in the WORKFORCE tree while this it is not the
case for the CORPORATE tree;
and at the same time provide for
bi-directional password sync between the WORKFORCE
tree and Active Directory;
and have uni-directional password sync between
WORKFORCE -> CORPORATE trees ?

a simple (yes|no) would make me the happiest man
on planet
