I tried this in another group with no luck. Hopefully someone here knows.

I've got a HP1200se I am trying to make available to other clients on
our Novell network. (4.11) Everything is set up.
Printer/que/printserver and Nprinter. For some reason, the Nprinter
when talking to the printer seems to think the HP printer is "out of
paper." (The printer has plenty of paper) I am having no luck getting
it to recognize otherwise.

I found a tech document: 2924389 but it references a HP Status Utility
in the Win.ini and I can't find anything of the sort.

Help.

I ran into this once with some HPs of that vintage and it was caused by the
printer going into sleep mode. It prints OK from local on the W9x box?

Yeah. No problems what so ever from the local machine. It's got Win98
on it.

What do I do about it. Try to keep the printer from going into sleep mode?

I don't know as that's your problem, but I'd put it on the list at this
point. The is a little setup program that came with the printer AIR, HP
something-something IIRC.

Try to print within a minute of a power cycle on the printer to see if this
is what's hammering you now. If that's it you just need to find the install
CD/diskettes and you're good to go.
