I posted my email in the SAA forum, but I think this it is
discontinued.
So i will repeat my question(s) here.
To leave the SAA environment in tact on the 4.11 server could I
schedule a in place upgrade to Netware 5.1?
I red that I have to use sp2a servicepack level vor SAA4.0.
What DS level do I choose 7 or 8?
After upgrade is it recommended to use saa40020.exe and all the latest
apars?
What is the name of the pcg file I have to save in order replace it
when things go wrong?
Are there any recommendations (tips and/or tricks) where to put any
attention during the in place upgrade.
Hope to hear form you soon
Thanks in advance
Ger
You must use NW51SP2a as the OS patch. NWSAA has a problem with later
clib versions. You can generally apply later individual patches such as
those for DS as long as clib is not updated.
NSD7 or NDS8 doesn't matter for NWSAA. You can even install eDirectory,
not tetsed by Novell, but other NWSAA users have done that.
You should apply saa40020.exe and other nwsaa apars even before you
upgrade.
The pcg file name depends on what you call it. You can read the name from
console.log when nwsaa loads. If you don't specify the name of the pcg
file explictly when loading nwsaa, then nwsaa will read the pcg file
specified in iwsaa.ini.

Thanks for your input,
Indeed we are upgrading from Netware 4.11
In the NDS there is a commexec object.
Do we have to change anything with it after upgrade?
Regards and thanks in advance,
