I have a client using GW6sp3 and client 6sp3.

If I specify a password in C1 for GW for a user they are able to login to
WebAccess. But everytime they connect using the GW client they are prompted
for the password. NDS sync just doesn't seem to work.

What is the bottom line on getting the GW client to NOT prompt for a
password AND still be able to use Webaccess?

Thanks

Using the Netware client normally ?, then when you start GW, check under
Tools/Options/Security that no password required with NDS/eDir, ensure
that box is ticked

Cheers Dave

Thanks, Dave, that was it. I guess C1 just isn't a perfect tool yet. Too bad
Novell doesn't have a TID to admit this problem. I've spent hours trying
different combos.

What problem are you referring to? You always have to enable "no password
required with NDS" to gain the functionality you wanted.

I tried to specify "use NDS password" in Console 1, but for some reason that
did not take effect. However, when I specified "no password with NDS" in the
Client32, that solved my login problem.
The problem is C1 has a bug with this feature.

Ah, ok. Sometimes settings do get "stuck" between C1 and the GW system (this
is not really a bug in C1, in my opinion, but a design flaw). In any case,
if you set something in C1 that doesn't show up in GW like it should, just
run a gwcheck with "reset client options" action and it will "sync" the
proper settings you specified back to the mailboxes.
