I use GW 6.5.1 configured with IA.

My problems:

1) Certains internet domains i cant send email. The MTA show "<internet
domain>has no sender IDomain. Internet Address Lookup not attempted".
I.E hotmail.com

The MX record point to my ISP. My imail box are there. I use POP3 client
to get the internet messages and GWIA to send messages. I think that
problem would be because my GWIA server (public IP) is trying to send
message to i.e hotmail and hotmal server is makink a DNS Lookup and MX
record of my internet domain is configured with the public IP of my ISP.
Is it the problem.

2) I dont know that this second problem has relations with the first. When
I receive a internet mail, the reply failed. I can send messages to
internet domains (certains as explained above), but if i receive a message
from internet the reply to this message fails. If i try to send a new
message it is success, but the reply... I cant see anything in GWIA.

Thanks

Andre

1. Probably. Also reverse DNS may not be setup. These are things you must
work out with your isp. dnsreport.com may prove helpful

2. dunno

Michael--

Since it's a POP3 account, will the outgoing email use the POP3 account's
outgoing server or GWIA?

It would use whatever you configure as the SMTP server.

So it uses the SMTP connection--not the GW -> MTA -> GWIA connection . . .
