Ive tried endlessly to figure out this problem and what causes it, its just
an endless loop on the gwia, goes on forever until i go into the send dirs
and delete these emails. Braytonlaw.com is owned by "cnchost" or XO
communications, i have an A record from them that points to my gwia server
"email.braytonlaw.com" .. if you need other info please let me know.

Your email addresses need to be us...@braytonlaw.com, not
us...@email.braytonlaw.com

I'm guessing if you go into ConsoleOne, select the GroupWise System, go to
Tools, GroupWise System Operations, Internet Addressing; you'll find
email.braytonlaw.com listed in the internet domain names and checked as
default. Remove it and make sure that braytonlaw.com is listed and
checked.

Hi Ted,
email.braytonlaw.com is NOT listed in Internet Addressing, the only thing in
there is braytonlaw.com with a checkmark. Users recieve email fine at
us...@braytonlaw.com (which is how its supposed to be) .. the only time the
email.braytonlaw.com thing seems to come into the loop is when something is
undeliverable .. i *think*

Out of curiosity, what exactly will that do? will it break anything?

OK-- let's try the reverse. Add email.braytonlaw.com in the Internet
Addressing area--just make sure it's not default. Hopefully that'll break
the loop.

Forget my last post. Didn't look hard enough at the transcript. Your GWIA
server is sending out misc. emails (I believe undeliverable's) as
mailer...@email.braytonlaw.com. There's 2 solutions.

Check out TID 10087947. I think you'll get it fixed . . .

Ted,

Shouldnt it be sending out as mailer...@braytonlaw.com ?? where is it
picking up the "email" from?
the TID basically says use a beta version of gwia or something. The Tid
references ae...@domain.com but not *exactly* what im getting, like
ae...@email.braytonlaw.com .. ya know? :)

Also, which GWIA agent should I use? Beta? Interim SP4? .. I dont mind
upgrading the gwia , as long as it works :)

I've been snowed in for 5 days . . .

Look at TID's 10069761, 10078577, and 10056642

If all else fails, I would create a route.cfg file like the following:

email.braytonlaw.com [aa.bb.cc.dd]

Where aa.bb.cc.dd is the actual ip address on your GWIA server. Note that
this will do nothing for the emails currently in your DEFER folder. See TID
10052707

Sorry Ted, glad youre back! :P

My current route.cfg contains

Current File "EMAIL:ASBDOM\WPGATE\GWIA\ROUTE.CFG"
-----------------------------------------------------------------
braytonlaw.com [172.16.1.3]

Is this incorrect?

No, it's not incorrect. I'd add

email.braytonlaw.com [172.16.1.3]

to it and also add email.braytonlaw.com to your internet addressing (again
make sure that braytonlaw.com is checked as your primary).

Your transcripts show that email going to mailer...@email.braytonlaw.com
(or ae...@email.braytonlaw.com) is getting sent out to your isp and your isp
is rejecting it. Adding it to your internet addressing and in the route.cfg
just means we'll keep those emails locally and hopefully your GWIA will know
what to do with them instead of creating a loop.

Any idea why "email" would get attached to the @braytonlaw.com in the first
place?? I would think it should be mailer...@braytonlaw.com
I will try route.cfg and IA
