Hi all,
using the last client 6.5.2 beta refresh now in the hope that it [finally] solves my digital signature problems, but sadly it doesn't.
when I upgraded my client from version 6.0 to version 6.5 I could all of a sudden not send emails anymore using "sign digitally" using my globalsign digital signature.
the certificate is valid, but groupwise reports "Your signing certificate expired".
However on the same computer, using the same certificate, I can still send signed emails using outlook.
One detail: I still have all my old (expired) certificates in my groupwise certificate store, but this is necessary because otherwise I will not be able to decrypt my old encrypted sent items.
My idea is that the groupwise client just picks the wrong certificate, just like what was reported earlier with entrust certificates ( "defect 344369 - Messages are sometimes encrypted using the wrong certificate information with Entrust" should however be solved according to Novell)
As I already mentioned in other posts, I have the impression that groupwise 6.5 went completely the wrong direction, I never witnessed so many groupwise problems at other customers as since they use 6.5 !!! Has it ever been tested? I just can't believe that fundamental problems like these stay in the software for so many months now, is nobody using the groupwise client with signing certificates???
Thx & sorry for the flaim, but I feel depressed seeing a good product behave so bad.
