I don't know how long the problem has been going on, but after our upgrade from GW6 to 6.5 sp1 it has become apparent that we have some problems.
I have several resources, many places some resources defined in the system that have been there for eons. The owner is not getting notifications of booked appointments. She does not have a rule setup to auto-accept.
When we had version 6 I created a couple of new resources and defined one as a place, the other as a resource. I put in a description of the place and made myself the owner. When someone books the 'test room' I get a notification of the booking. When someone books the 'test resource' I don't. Last week I created two new resources, one room and one resource and again made myself the owner. I don't get notifications for either of these. Also, I have noticed that if I book a resource that is defined as a place, the description is not being put in the place field -- just a reiteration of the NDS name is inserted.
I did a domain/po rebuild last weekend with no improvement.
I have a test system running the same thing and it behaves exactly the same way (both NW6, sp3-GW65 sp1).
This is really frustrating as I am trying my best to get users to book the rooms correctly instead of having proxy access but if it doesn't work right, I can't insist on good behavior from my users. Does anyone else have the problem or is there something in my system that's funky?
