Where did the restored e-mail go?

We are running GW 6.0 with the latest service pack. We have never used
the restore feature before. However, a few weeks ago, one user somehow
set her e-mail to autodelete and she realized that she lost a bunch of
messages that she had saved to folders. We ran a restore to the restore
area so that she could recover these. She opened up the backup and found
the messages and right clicked on them and clicked on the restore
feature. There were no error messages. However, after going back into
her regular mailbox, there was no sign of the restored messages - either
in the folder they were in, or in the Inbox.

I did got a response to the original posting on this indicating that we
had to give the POA rights to the restore directory. I believe that I did
do this, but I am going to check. In the meantime though, the messages
are not in the user's e-mail and they are no longer in the restore area.
Where would these messages have gone? Do we need to run a restore again?

Thanks.

Sue
