We are running GW 6.0 with the latest service pack. We have never used
the restore feature before. However, a few weeks ago, one user somehow
set her e-mail to autodelete and she realized that she lost a bunch of
messages that she had saved to folders. We ran a restore to the restore
area so that she could recover these. She opened up the backup and found
the messages and right clicked on them and clicked on the restore
feature. There were no error messages. However, after going back into
her regular mailbox, there was no sign of the restored messages - either
in the folder they were in, or in the Inbox.

Where should she be looking for these messages? Does anyone have any
ideas as to why haven't they shown up?

Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem recently. You have to give the POA wrecmf
rights to the restored directory. Go into ConsoleOne, open the POA
properties, select the Rights to Files and Folders tab, click Add,
browse to the directory, then set the rights.

I believe that I did do that, but I will double check. The problem is
that the e-mails were there and supposedly retrieved. Now we can't see
them either in the user's in-box or in the restore area. Any idea as to
where they might have gone?
