I only found one bit of information that said they docs do not actually move
until they are opened so I opened all of them but still do not see them on
the new storage area. What am I missing?
Where does this show the actual document location?

; Remote Connection(s).
; The user id and password for remote file server(s).

Yes, leaving the brackets off is correct - do you see any errors on the
server console when you load the POA - if it could not authenticate to
the other server you would probably see something. Do you see the user
in the POA startup file under Connections in Monitor on the remote
server?

I would go into NetWare Administrator and double/triple check that the storage
location does NOT have a directory longer than 8 characters. I know you said
you looked, but this is the primary reason for a storage location to not be
used.
If you have the documents on a server other than the POA, the POA has to pull
every document across the wire to index it - gets ugly.
This is what I have:
Main-Tree Okanogan-County
Organization Unit SH
Volume SH_APP
Folder testlib
All other than the Main-Tree seem to meet the criteria.

But the other gotcha that we were leading up to is also don't put any
DMS components straight off the root of a volume - if you use Filer to
move the directory testlib underneath another one, say gwdms, so the
full path is Server/SH_APP:\gwdms\testlib, things may start working
better. Obviously also change the paths in NWadmin to point to the
relocated library storage area.
Cheers Dave
