Hello, is it possible to create a group within the 'Novell GroupWise Address
Book' in my GroupWise 5.5.5 Client?
Or do I need to upgrade to a newer GroupWise?

Not from the client, all the entries in that book are the system ones,
so to get a group in there, a distribution list needs to be created in
NWadmin.

Cheers Dave

Hi Dave,

I have done that now, and SuperBase can send to the Distribution List.

We have external virus checking on our eMails, which currently does not
protect the distribution lists. But, would I be right in saying that if I
keep the visibility of the Distribution Lists at Post Office level, then
eMails from external sources will not work to these addresses?

Although I now have Distribution Lists set up in my tree, they will not
appear in the Novell GroupWise Address Book. Is there a way of getting them
to display? If I could get them to diaplay, then they would be searched
during the Name Completion Search.

Any thoughts anyone?

Thanks, Kevin R

Addresses always work, the only thing that visibility controls is
whether it is in the address book or not, as you are finding out. Set
the visibility to System, then it should show in the global address book
