Server utilization high with attachments

We have Groupwise 5.5 no Enhancement pack, Service Pack 5 on a Novell 5.1
server Service Pack 6. Our workstations are NT 4.0 SP6a, we also use
Office 97 suite, SP2. When a user right clicks on a word document,
selects "send to" and chooses groupwise, our Command Antivirus program on
the server shoots to a utilization of 85-90% and the system monitor
utilization hits 45% or higher. We are trying to work the Command
Antivirus for this problem, but we also wanted to see if anyone has heard
of a problem with Groupwise that causes this high utilization.
