Groupwise Remote and Outlook 2002 on home systems

Hi,
I can't seem to get the 2 to live happily.
Here's the scenario:

Home users happily using outlook on their new xp stations
Want access to groupwise at the office over ip (just like they used to
do ...)
Install ntwms from novell's site
Setup 2 profiles
Tell the Outlook profile to not have anything to do with Groupwise
....
Somehow, Outlook STILL wants to connect to the main mailbox ....
leading to errors opening attachments in outlook ..

Can I have GW see only the GW address books from the server and
outlook existing happly as the pop client for the "home" email?

Some using GW5.5, others on 6 (different systems) .. any suggestions
are greatly appreciated.

GW5.x doesn't coexist happily with versions of Outlook later than OL2000
