We have a request for Data protection reasons to provide information on
individual's where their name is held in an email message. This will be
done only on the approval of the author of the email. Is there are tool to
go thru all email messages and check how many messages will contain a
certain text.

not with onboard means. I think GWAVA can do something like this, but only with Groupwise versions 6.5.

With GWAVA 2.5x and GroupWise 6.5, you can scan the entire Post Office
(Inboxes, Sent Items, Trash, Cabinets, Calendars, etc...) for any text
you want.
