Second GWIA for Fail over

Dear All,

I have been asked to install a Second GWIA as part of a DR plan for the
company. I am a bit confused as to how to proceed with this as we use
Alias in our Groupwise accounts. Does anyone know of any documentation I
use to produce a DR plan incase of our only GWIA going down. The idea is
to have a second one ready and to swap over.

Oh well. I don't have any GW5.5 in access any longer to verify that, so
you wolud have to test it yourself. In later GW versions, you can assign
each GWIA a gateway alias type, and if you keep these identical
throughout your various GWIAs, they will all use the same user aliasses.
If taht works in your scenario, and you are using internet addressing,
all you'd need to do in case of the first GWIA failing is to manually
assign the second GWIA as default GWIA in your internet addressing
setup.
