I have alot of space being used by index files. I did a gwcheck but I still
have huge .idx and .inc files . I'm going to try /qfdeleteold and
/qflevel=1 the next time i do an index. Anyone have any other suggestions
to get some disk space back? Also, there are files called "pcanywhere
caller index files"?? Where do they come from?

Thanks,

Chris

TID 10050740, and the PCA stuff is just Windows using the registry
association to give you the file type, it isn't right, ignore it :-)

Cheers Dave

Thanks Dave - that got me 6gb of space. However, within one hour I lost
most of it to purgable space. Cant figure out why that is happening?? Thats
alot of deleted files within an hour.

Now here is some space, the system will use it, GW generates huge
amounts of files, can be an idea to flag the working directories are
immediate purge, the wpcsin/out ones

Dave,

Any issue with "purge immediately" on offiles, ofmsg and ofuser directories?
These are the ones filling up the sever.

Thanks,

Chris

Personally, I prefer salvage to be able to work on those, they are real
files where the data lives, rather than transient transfer files
