Our GPW 5.5 mail service does not get inbound mail, it does outbound just
fine.
We taced the problem to the Firewall.
We are using Nokia Firewall/Checkpoint
What can we look for to see why this is happening.

regards/thanks

You need a filter from the public side to the private side that lets traffic
connect to the server with your GWIA. The destination port is 25, however you
will also need to let the GWIA server reply to these communications. This
latter is the part that is normally forgotten.

In theory, practice and theory are the same,
In practice they are different!

You will need to go into the SmartDashboard and create a host node for your
server. Then add a filter allowing SMTP to be forwarded to your host.

I picked up this book which I found helpful.
