A user sent an email to a receipient outside our network with a rather
sizable attachment (400+ Mb). The sudden space usage on the post office
volume was noticable. Howerver, now that the message has been deleted from
the user's sent folder, the volume space was not reclaimed. Purging the
volume, index check w/contents had no effect. What am I doing wrong?

Not waiting until GroupWise purges it? <g> GroupWise waits a bit (14
days) before reclaiming the space.You should be able to find it on your
own (the size will be a good indicator) and manually delete it and then
run a ATTCLIP GW ChecK followed by a Contents GW Check to clean up all
the loose ends.
