Is it possible to access grpwise email from home using other email program
like MS Outlook, Outlook express etc. other then using webaccess.

Yes. There are several ways to get your email from home depending on what
functionality you are looking to have.

If all you want is email (no address books, calendars, to-dos, etc) then any
POP3 client will work. Just remember to configure it to leave a copy of the
emails on the server or you will find your box empty at work the next day.

If you are wanting to have more functionality you can install the GroupWise
client on your home system and then just point it at the IP address of the
PO server. Or get the Outlook plugin and go from there.

How to change the setting to point the IP address to the PO server.
My PO server is a private IP address & is not in the same server with GWIA.

If that is the case you would have to have a NAT entry for that server to
map the private address to a public one so you could get to it.

Otherwise the POP/IMAP client would only have to get to the server running
GWIA.

Or you could use LiveRemote (EP only) and hit the MTA (but similar issue
would arise).

I believed the mapping has already done. How can i confirm it?
If everything ok, what are the steps need to do to access email from home.
(Sorry for that as i'm new to all this)

You confirm by attempting to telnet from the outside world to the public IP
on port 110. If you see a nice happy connection with GW, you are 99% there.
A little more testing is also possible by typing

user <gwuserid> <hit enter>
pass <gwpassword> <hitenter>

If you get that far in everything will be great. Just create a new mail
account in OE (Tools/Account) and specify the incoming mail server as that
IP address, your gwuserid and gwpassword. Now the outgoing may still be
messy, but we'll cross that bridge....
