I'm also looking into alternatives to recommend to those who want/need
to move from BMgr. Astaro is not OEM'd by Novell anymore (that was the
old Novell Security Manager product). There have been unofficial
statements by Novell of a BM on Linux for about a year now, and even
mention of it in roadmaps as long ago as last summer. However, I've
not heard anything in the last couple of months. (Maybe a BrainShare
surprise?)

Right now, Astaro seems like one of the better choices to me. I've
worked with their products in the past, and at the time of NSM, their
strengths were BMgr weaknesses, and vice-versa. Certainly different,
but capable, and there is an eDir integration option, using an LDAP
lookup.

Nothing like CLNTRUST out there that I know of though.
