Hello,

Could someone please point me in the right direction to
automate authentication to a BM3.8 server in a windows 2k3 domain.

Workstations do not use the NW client and using SSL Auth gets rather
time consuming for users. Are other options / implementations available.

The products great and we don't want to change it !

Thanks,

david

No problem.

There are only two ways to authenticate - clntrust, which is tied to
client32, and ssl. So...to automate the authentication, you would need
to automate the ssl login, which I think is kind of dangerous. I suspect
you would do this with some sort of browser-based addin, though I don't
know for sure if something like this exists.

To make things a bit easier on the users, you could lengthen the idle
timeout (default is 3 minutes), but that would allow people to shut down a
PC, and have someone else boot it up and still have the previous
authentication. But in the right environment it might be an option.
Another option might be to not authenticate users at all, though I don't
much like that option.
