I have installed Unix Print service on a Netware 5 server with sp4a, to
utilize FTP services only. I can ftp and logon successfully from both a
dos prompt and a unix session. The PUT command works fine from a dos
prompt(copy files from local workstation to Netware FTP), however, when
attempting to PUT from the unix box, we get "permision denied". The
user has sufficient rights to the folder we are attempting to write to.

Hi,

I had a similar problem with ftp transfer from S/390 host to my
Netware 5.0 ftp server. If I remember correct there was an
additional error message about a failing contextless login. After
installing NDS Catalog Services (actually version 1.0.6) and
configuring a NDS catalog object and have the catalog dredger
running, everything was ok.

Hope this helps!
