I am trying to restore a file to a Windows NT 4.0 SP6a server. The file has
been backed up to a tape on a Netware 5.1 SP2 server. I am running Client
Agent 1.2 and ArcserveIT Manager 6.6 SP 2000.1. When trying to restore the
files I get "E5008 Failed to create file (filename)" for all the files. This
error should indicate that either the disk is full, or the file exists, but
neither is the case.

I also inspected the error log of the Agent on the NT Server. It seemed to
first try to create a directory on the root of the disk (the directory
already existed) and failed, then it tried to create a subdirectory (which
also existed) and failed. It then tried to restore the files to the
subdirectory (which did NOT exist), also failing. I tried moving the
directory and run the job again, but even when there were no directories
there the Agent failed to create any.

I also tried restoring to another location on the same server, but I get an
error from the manager saying that the Client Agent is busy or unloaded. I
have made sure the service is started, I even restarted it once.

Any help on how to restore my files would be appreciated.

Morten
