We are having a strange problems and I wanted to know if anyone else has
had a similar problem. We have an Intranetware server that is an HP
NetServer with an Intel PCI adapter. From time to time it disappears
from the network. There are still link lights on the switch and the
network card, there are no errors on the server console, but in Monitor
the stats for the card do not show any transmit or receive packets. It
is as if NetWare has forgotten how to talk to the card. Restarting the
server resolves the problem. We have three other servers that are
indentical setups with no problems.

Does anyone have any ideas? If so please email me at 0...@amrion.com.
Thanks. Steve.

Steve Schrader :

1) check for a bad switch port
2) Can you go to http://support.novell.com/misc/patlst.htm
and get confg7b.exe. Copy config.nlm to your SYS:\SYSTEM directory,
and then at the console prompt type LOAD CONFIG -s. *Edit the resulting
config.txt file to remove your serial number* and either cut and paste
the file into your message (do NOT send it as an attachement) or email
it to me. IF YOU EMAIL ME THE FILE, please be sure to indicate which
forum you were posting in, as that is where I will answer you.
