Backup Exec 8.5 restore problem

To all,

we tried to restore some files fromb backup exec 8.5 to a server,
approximately 450mb, this caused our destination NW4.11 sp8a server to
abend. On restart the server performed a auto vrepair on the volume
and found 1777000 errors. Has anyone had this problem with
restoration of files.
