I just added 2 new drives to the server. I was wondering how to copy
all the old files across to the new drives, so I installed the old
drive as well, renaming the volume from "sys" to "oldsys".
As I was booting the server, I noticed something like "invalid
directory name - volume not mounted"

I thought, ok I'll try something else, and booted the server up with
the old hard disk again. Now all but six of the old directories have
disappeared.
I know we don't have backups of everything, so is there a way to get
the data back?
If not I may be in deep s***
