Drives spec. Primary controller 8GB seagate U-DMA(master) 19GB Fujitsu
U-DMA. secondary controller 1.5GB(master I think) and another 19GB
fujitsu. M/B is a GX440 intel based board
I am serious issues with loading IDEATA.ham re-entrantly. It installs
the first controller no problem, picks up both drives on that
controller (primary) with the default options.

On the second controller it offers port 170 and interupt f as the
defaults, if you select these it abends or reboots. All other available
combinations either do nothing (ie load and no drives) or fails to load
with a "no controller detected" type deal. it only loads the controller
on port 170. Server is patched to 312PTD

Driving me slowly insane, please help.

Forgot to mention the disks already contain 3 netware volumes that
previously worked on another motherboard that died along with the boot
partition hard drive!!

Which version of IDEATA? Are you using the HAM drivers.

Note, running multiple IDE drives on a production server (or even a single IDE drive)
isn't high up on the 'good things to do' list.

Hmm, that should be current enough -- assuming all other patches are in place -- how much
RAM on the server?
