Patchman - invalid file format

I still use a novell 3.11, and think it will serve me well.
But the reoccuring problem is that if i want to use an other NIC or
change the type of drives, the Patchman cannot be loaded due to:

Loading module PATCHMAN.NLM
invalid load file format
Module PATCHMAN.NLM NOT loaded

This is an NLM file and i tried several Patchman files and got the same
message. Getting the Server On the Air is no problem but some modules
cannot be loaded if there is no Patchman loadable.

Problem started after i tried a non-novell ne2000 compatible card and
even a change of media ( 40mbMFM to 360M IBM)

Another issue: the server cannot find more memory than 15.7Mb
even with "Auto Register Above 16 Megabytes: ON"

Please let me know.. Thanks

This one's a 3.11 specific constraint.

What hardware do you have.

How many users. 3.11 is no longer supported, nor is it Y2K compliant, perhaps a move to
something less than 10 years old is in order...
