Hi Everyone,

I had posed this question previously, but I didn't get any response.....

What I need to do is change the name of a Novell Server 3.12 in a mixed
server network. What I am asking is the following:

Short of searching through configuration files and manually changing the
Server Name, there must be a utility that facilitates this process (what is
it?).

And Secondly, is there an NLM or utility that will change all of the
Server's scripts to reflect the name change. I have searched all of Novell's
Knowledge Base, and found absolutely nothing on what should be a straight
forward and simple process.

Thanks again,

Andy Hamm

Unfortunately the answers that I know are NO and NO. The server name
is defined in the autoexec.ncf file. Change it there and down and
restart the server. And NO you need to use Syscon (? been a while)
to change any scripts. Unless you are using NW3.2 in which case there
is a GUI interface available to use via Windoze. Sorry. Anyone else
know any utilities?
