When configuring disk duplexing in v.3.12, is it best to setup one primary (with DOS partition) and one secondary (no DOS partition) or both with DOS partitions?

Also, is it best to setup each drive separetly (copy system files to the DOS partition on each) and then duplex or simply install the system files to the primary DOS partition and then duplex?

I like to have DOS partitions on both, that way when the boot drive fails I can boot off the secondary
drive.

I would do the first task since mirroring/duplexing by NetWare is for the NetWare partition only. For a
true mirrored drive (all partitions) you would need a RAID controller (hardware mirroring).

I'm with Al on this one -- a further note, as you apply updates and patches, make sure to
refresh the DOS image on the second drive.

I have a couple of customers duplexed and both have duplicate DOS bootable partitions. Lose a drive you & don't have to look for or create bootable floppies etc. I vote with the first two.
