Failed to load C640X3X.dsk

We are trying to recover the files from a Novell Netware 3.12 system which
was found on Monday morning with the following:

Loading Module C640X3X.dsk
Failed to get drive info from DOS.
Module intializition failed.
C640X3X.disk
Not Loaded

File Server Name:

The server name is no longer Known, nor the IPX number. The system has only
one server. If "ABC" is used for the server name, and IPX #: "1" is used I
get the following:

ABC:
If I down the server, I can exit to DOS. There a directory for: "NET", &
"Server.312" can be found. I assume the Netware Partition is still intack.

How can I recover the data?

Have you run any diagnostics on the dos drive?
Have you run vrepair on the unmounted volumes?

When you boot a server without using the autoexec.ncf file the process will
ask you for a name. Any name and then number will suffice. You can then run
diagnostics on the NetWare volumes.

Who's driver is that? Not a 'standard' NetWare file name...
