After installing MW 2.7 SP1 beta, I reset my console database and
deleted the netxplor.dat file on the ManageWise server.
Ever since then, I get a lot of unknown segments being discovered,
which I did not get before.
These segments look as though they have an IPX name (#3E3D281B), and
only contain one IPX workstation. The IPX name does not correspond to
any network segments we have. The workstation name is either the name
of my ManageWise server, or it is 000000000001.
I got this prob after b2mw27sp and b3mw27sp. I have reset the databases
many times and always get similar unknown segments discovered.
Any ideas?
Dennis Gerolymatos.

This is a weird problem that got introduced with the beta SP. MW IPX
discovery is now discovering internal IPX addresses and serverid's as
segments. The 000001 nodes are the server! In fact, if you are
"routing" on a NW server, you will see even more bizarre behaviour.
This has been reported to Novell several times, hopefully, they will
address this.

mw27sp1 has just been released. I applied it, rediscovered my network
and surprise - nothing has been fixed!
Novell, why is it that you introduced a problem with the beta 1 of this
support pack, identified the problem through 3 other betas, and did not
rectify it in the final release?
I don't believe the fix will be in the current SP1, but a separate
patch has been written and is in testing. It shouldn't be too long
before it is released, barring any problems with testing.

Not sure, but it is definitely being fixed now. See my other post.
