Scenario:

user sends a mail message from groupwise to exchange. in the header
is the following:
to: exchange user
cc: internet user address

outcome:

all parties receive the message; however, the exchange client (outlook
2K) does not show the internet address that was in the cc field. (it
doesn't really matter where the internet address is, it fails to
appear regardless of to or cc)

i have stopped the gwrouter and trapped the message in the API_OUT
folder prior to the mesage going to exchange. i have noticed that
there is no internet address in either the "to=" field or the
"all-to=" field. the only indication that this was even sent to the
internet recipient is the line:

"to-text= Internet:us...@domain.com\; exchange user;"

now apparently, after research at one of novell's pages, i've learned
that this is simply text that appears in the header. so in the "to="
and "all to=" field, there should not be any internet addressing
information because this (and this is a guess) was used to get the
message to the Internet recipient through a GWIA on another novell
machine. (the api gateway and gwia are not on the same machine) But
the "to-text=" field in the api file does not always have a slash
after the address. this originally struck me as the culprit since it
does not look like a correctly formed address and furthermore,
exchange uses internet addresses designated as "SMTP:us...@domain.com".
Regardless, the internet addresses continue to disapeear from the p2
header when viewed with outlook 2k. any ideas would be greatly
appreciated as well as whether or not anyone has ever seen anything
like this.

thanks.
