Is it possible to merge Groupwise database files ?

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help provide some advice.

In our office environment, we use Groupwise 5.5, however last month a
problem with the mail server resulted in the mail database files being
reset, and mail being lost.

It is our plan to restore the mail that was lost using a back up, but
I was wondering if someone could give me an idea of how to merge both
the back up database files and the current files.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
