We are running version 2.01 on NT 4 (SP6a, Exchange 5.5 SP4). On the
novell side, we have a 4.2 box running SP9 ( I believe) and we have 3
branch offices, each running 5.1 sp3a. NDS4NT is really flakely, and
has gotten bad to the point one of our partitions (sioux falls), the
users can't authenticate to the NT domain. This brings down their
email access. We've partitioned each branch office (atlanta, Sioux
falls, topeka) and the users in atlanta are working fine, with the
EXACT same set up. Sioux Falls problems go back to the fact we
upgraded about 2 months ago, and that is when it all started. What
really baffles me is why Atlanta, running same set up, can get to the
NT domain. Anyone else have this problem? I checked NDS manager on
the NT box, and it shows Sub.Ords. for topeka and Atlanta, but Sioux
falls has a "Read/write" which I think is completely bogus, and
apparently so does the SF server, because it doesn't show anything on
the NDS manager that relates to the NDS4NT server. Basically, the NT
server says it has a read/write of Sioux falls, and Sioux falls
doesn't agree. Any suggestions? We've called Novell support and they
are basically stumped, and we are looking at going for NAM and
eDirectory, however, we have to bump up our Main, NW 4.2 server to 5.1
from what they say.

if anyone has any advice, sympathy<g> or help at all, I'd be much
appreciative to hear.... Thanks in advance!

Note that you are posting your message to "dead" newsgroups. The
Novell support newsgroups have moved to the novell.support.* hierarchy
about a year ago. Please go to http://support.novell.com/forums for
more details on how to access the real Novell support newsgroups.
