Hi,

Forgot to ask, can anybody please tell me by when can I expect the hard
copy and Is there any procedure to mail or inform Novell to send the
hard copy/soft copy. And will the NCLP status be updated in novell
website or again should we request anybody to get it done.

thx,
deepak

Hello All,

I am certified in NCLP10 now, the practicum test was good and a twisty
paper. Novell is doing a good job in setting up very standard questions
for the NCLP exam. I got 89% and the pass was 85%, I am happy and will
be taking up NCLE sometime next year.

The discussion forum was very helpful for some small tips and
suggestions needed for the exam.

But I do have a small justification to say here, whenever you mention
to anybody that you are NCLP, they wonder or question back what is NCLP,
but when you explain it to them that it is "SuSE Linux Certified
Professional" then they seem happy and amazed. Most of the people know
"SuSE Linux" very well than "Novell Linux".

Atleast Novell should add the word "SuSE" in the NCLP abbreviation ..
something like NSCLP- Novell SuSE Certified Linux Professional, then it
would become more obvious that it is SuSE Linux. However in that case
the certification program would become more familiar.

Novell is also doing very good by charging only Rs 3000 for NCLP which
is a very good move and decision, Tell me who would pay Rs.18000 for
RHCT/RHCE which is 6 times more than NCLP.

Just felt like sharing the above with you all.

Thanks,
Deepak

Your certification record is updated automatically - usually those
updates are within 24 hours. The certificate mailing can take a little
longer, depending on where it is sent. There is information included in
your certification record when that fulfillment takes place.

As long as the address we have on file in the certification database is
correct, there's nothing you need to do.

That is also against Novell policy. Exam questions and scenarios are
proprietary and are absolutely NOT to be shared with other candidates.
Sharing the scenarios weakens the certification, so those who have taken
the exam are best served by NOT sharing the exam scenarios.

The exam is intended to be difficult. Pass it by knowing the material,
not by having someone tell you what's on the exam. Using that type of
information puts your certification (and that of the person who shares
the material) at risk as sharing exam content is a violation of the
Novell Certification Agreement.

With regards to the CNI (Certified Novell Instructor) process, your best
bet is to contact instr...@novell.com.

Thanks,
