Wasn't Brainshare 2011 registration supposed to open yesterday? There
is still NO information other than dates on the website.

I just called Novell (11 AM EST on 11/3/10) and after 2 dead end
conversations the third Customer Service Associate determined that their
group does not know what is going on with Brainshare 2011 registration.
The registration phone line (866-745-4500) also does not work yet. They
promised they would call back with the answer later today as to when
registration will begin...

The website says "Registration: Coming soon"
I suggest you use the "Let me know when registration opens" link to stay informed.

Ok here is the answer from the informed assoicate at Novell...

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your email. We are actively working on launching
registration - hopefully everything will be in order this month. I
apologize for the delay. Our site should reflect only BrainShare 2011
information, and we'll attend to that ASAP.

If you would like to be notified when registration opens, there is a

Previously, it stated that registration opened on November 1 (like every
other year). Guess I'll just have to be patient... which I am not good
at!

Today I reached out to John Dragoon to hopefully get clarification on
BrainShare 2011. John did clarify that BrainShare 2011 will not be held
on March 20-24 in 2011, but will most likely be held later in the
year...

Jeff,

Thank you for contacting me directly and more importantly for your
loyal support over the last 15 years. We greatly appreciate it. I
wanted to get back to you immediately to answer your questions.

As I'm sure you know, Novell entered into a definitive agreement to be
acquired by Attachmate Corporation last month. While the transaction has
not yet closed (it is predicted to close in Q1 2011) it has influenced
our planning and timing for many initiatives including Brainshare. We
are trying to do what's best for the potential of an expanded user
community. Accordingly, we will NOT be holding Brainshare in SLC on
March 20-24 in 2011. We have not yet decided on a time and location for
the event but we have every intention to have a Brainshare in 2011.

As we had not yet opened registration for the 2011 event we had
anticipated that we had not inconvenienced potential attendees. I do
apologize for the inconvenience we have caused you and hope your flights
and calendar are flexible pending our rescheduling of the event. Again,
it is our current intention to have an America's based Brainshare in
2011.
